The parabolic dish collector is one of the recognized concentrated solar power systems based on point focusing, which provides high-temperature heat, high concentration ratio, and low heat loss. This system consists a reflector cavity receiver situated in focus line. In this work, conical with an aperture diameter 0.5 m considered for 100 2 having focal to ratio 0.48. Due complexity flow temperature profile, estimation convective loss difficult task receiver. More losses are associated obtained collector. diverse wind effect, ramp up, significantly influences thermal performance concentrating system. present work aims investigate due convection from numerical investigation was performed using ANSYS Fluent 20R1 calculate varying height speed, orientation head-on, back-on directions. influential parameters 1.5 (d/h), 0° 90° (γ), 0 10 m/s speed (V). highest at 60° 75° d/h = 1-1.5, respectively, head-on condition, whereas 30° has more among all values speed. 4-10 m/s. trends curve orientations given conditions similar velocity than result reveals that have remarkable effect
